Alvin Hoyle Musgrave, age 84 of Braselton, GA (formerly of Lexington, NC), passed away on June 13, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Lorraine Musgrave. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tammy Elrod; brother, Clyde Musgrave; and parents, Dan & Margaret Musgrave. Other survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-Law: Sandy & Danny Elrod; Grandchildren: Julie & Jason Keinat, Angie Elrod; Great Grandchildren: Taylor Keinat & Madi Keinat; Brother & Sister-in-Law: Ralph & Joan Musgrave; Several Nieces & a Nephew. Mr. Musgrave entered the USAF in 1942 and retired as Chief Master Sergeant in 1968. He served in Europe during WWII, also served during the Korean Conflict and working with the CIA during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, in 1983 at Port Canaveral, FL after 15 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, coaching softball and watching the Braves play. He was a loving grandfather, and great grandfather and loved to watch his great grandson play baseball and referred to his great granddaughter as his “Little Princess”. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at Wages Lawrenceville Chapel with Rev. Clarence Cannon officiating. Interment to follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
