Knife-wielding man robs store

•NORCROSS - An unidentified man on Monday robbed Disco Manias at 6131 South Norcross Tucker Road.

The man walked into the store about 9 p.m. and browsed items as if he was going to buy something, according to a police report. He then walked behind the counter, pulled out a knife and told the clerk to "give him all the money or he would hurt her," the report said.

The robber grabbed cash from the register and fled on foot. He is described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 140 pounds wearing a purple shirt and tan shorts.

Man escapes home invasion attempt

•NORCROSS - Two men forced entry to an apartment Wednesday on Chelsea Park Lane and made an unsuccessful attempt to rob residents.

One of the victims heard a knock at the front door at 10:36 p.m. and looked out the peephole to see a light-skinned black woman, according to a police report. When he opened the door, two unidentified men armed with guns forced their way inside and said "give it up," the report stated.

A roommate ran to the back of the apartment and jumped out of a bedroom window. The intruder panicked after the roommate escaped and left without taking anything, according to the report.

One of the intruders was described as a black man with dread locks and the other was a black man with a light complexion wearing a red hat.
