Bette Ann (Clark) Beaumont, 79, died June 6, 2006 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Born in Boston to the late Frederick H. and Alice I. (Lyng) Clark Sr.,she was raised in Winthrop and in 1948 graduated from Salem State with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, she moved to San Francisco for two years. She returned to Winthrop, earned a Masters Degree and taught there until she married in August, 1956 to Leo E. Beaumont. She raised her family of 4 children and in 1972 moved to Vermont.Her teaching also included Rutlandtown, Vt and Nauset Regional District. She retired to Leesburg, Fl with her husband Leo. They volunteered as court mediators for the family courts. In the 1980s, she also owned and operated the Patio Fare restaurant on the cape in Chatham. She recently moved to Andover. She was the widow of Leo E. Beaumont and is survived by four children, Patricia Beaumont and her husband Robert Stannard of Benson, Vt., Michael and his wife Vanessa Beaumont of Tavares, FL., Peter and his wife Catherine Beaumont of Andover, John and his wife Heather Beaumont of Lawrenceville, Georgia, eleven grandchildren who she adored, Abigale, Luke, Sam, Mac,Chelsey, Ryan, Kaity, Stephen, Kellie, Matthew, and Yvonne. Family and friends and invited to a funeral mass on Monday at 10 A.M. at St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Burial will be private. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 - 6 P.M. at the Dewhirst and Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover.
