WINDER - Candidates for the county school board and commission will answer voters' questions at a forum Thursday.
Questions for the candidates must be submitted today to be discussed in the forum, though people will also have an opportunity to discuss issues one-on-one, Chamber of Commerce President Carolyn Delamont said. The Chamber is sponsoring the forum, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Winder Community Center.
Questions for Board of Education candidates include test scores, the millage rate and preventing dropouts, while Board of Commissioners candidates will be asked about the comprehensive land use plan, overlay districts and how to capitalize on the county airport.
Delamont said most candidates have already confirmed they will be at the event, which is expected to last two hours. Those who are running unopposed will not be in attendance.
To submit a question, fax it to 770-867-6366, e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org or bring it to the Chamber office, at 6 Porter St. in Winder.
