BUFORD - A 33-year-old man who was struck by a train Monday night was still hospitalized in critical condition on Tuesday.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification to his next of kin, said Cpl. R.D. Work, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department. He was on life support at press time Tuesday at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Authorities said the man was walking on the tracks near South Waterworks and Buford Dam roads when the train engineer spotted him. Attempts to stop the train were unsuccessful, Work said.More like this story
