Mr. Earley Biffle, age 80, of Buford, GA, passed away on June 5, 2006. He was a member of the Buford Housing Authority and an avid volunteer at the Operations Compassion Food Bank. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Davenport and Mr. Wayne Lancaster officiating. Interment will be in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens with a Masonic Service. Masons will serve as honorary escorts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Puckett in 1999 and her daughter, Nancy Puckett in 1976. Mrs. Puckett was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. She was retired from Flowery Branch Nursing Home and also worked for Myers Elementary School for ten years. She was a member of the Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandson, Kevin was her joy, purpose and pride. Mildred Puckett requested that there be no funeral or graveside service as she wanted to be remembered as she was in life. Her spirit will remain generous, caring and young at heart. She was into computer gaming, (sometimes known as "The Gaming Granny"); buying and selling her Star Wars Collectibles on E-bay and Gardening. Mr. Ronald Ray Henson of Lilburn, died Saturday, June 3, 2006. He graduated from Arkansas State University and received his degree in mathematics. Mr. Henson was a captain in the U.S. Air Force where he served in weather advisory services. He was the owner of A Access Locksmith in Gwinnett County. He loved to travel and was a devoted son. Mr. Henson is survived by his mother, Norine Clark of Lilburn, who lived with him for the past three years; one aunt; several cousins; devoted friends; and his dog, Jack. The family received friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 5th at A. S. Turner & Sons with the service following at 7:00 p.m. Dr. Frank H. Crumpler officiated. Mrs. Cooper was a native and long time resident of Buford, Georgia having lived in Pembroke for the last 4 years. She was a member of Riverside Baptist Church of Buford, who enjoyed cooking and gardening. Survivors include, her husband of over 47 years, Reggie Cooper of Pembroke; 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, Kenneth Cooper, Chris and Sandra Cooper, both of Pembroke, and Eric and Shannon Cooper of Jefferson, GA; one sister, Barbara Ann Holman of TN; and 4 granddaughters. Kathleen Crumpton "Kitty" Nix, age 87 of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Buford, Georgia, died at home on Saturday, June 3, 2006. She was born in Laurens County, Georgia on April 24, 1919. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Joseph and Eula Jane McDaniel Crumpton, brother, Fred Crumpton and husband of 55 years, Walter E. Nix. Kitty was a World War II pilot, trained by her pilot husband, Walter. Together they managed airports in Tifton, Douglas, and Winder, Georgia. They were the owners and managers of ParkAire Field, which they sold and it later became ParkAire Mall in Marietta. Kitty and Walter were Piper Airplane Distributors and were well known in the airplane and motor home industries. They were owners of Atlanta International Raceway for over 20 years and they sold the Raceway which is now known as Atlanta Motor Speedway. They retired to Sebring, Florida. Kitty was an avid gardener and member of Stonehedge Garden Club in Buford and Sebring, FL. She is survived by friends in Florida and Georgia. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA with Rev. Bobby Linkous officiating. Interment in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.
