Mrs. Mildred White Puckett, age 72, of Gainesville, GA, and formerly of Buford, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Puckett in 1999 and her daughter, Nancy Puckett in 1976. She is survived by her: Daughter: Sherrill Fowler, Gainesville, GA; Grandson: Kevin Fowler, a sophomore at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA; Sisters: Dorothy Taylor, Clermont, GA, Glenda White, Clermont, GA; Brothers and Sister-in-Law: Charles “Mickey” White, Gainesville, GA, Frank and Pat White, San Antonio, TX; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Puckett was a native of Gwinnett County, GA. She was retired from Flowery Branch Nursing Home and also worked for Myers Elementary School for ten years. She was a member of the Roanoke Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandson, Kevin was her joy, purpose and pride. Mildred Puckett requested that there be no funeral or graveside service as she wanted to be remembered as she was in life. Her spirit will remain generous, caring and young at heart. She was into computer gaming, (sometimes known as “The Gaming Granny”); buying and selling her Star Wars Collectibles on E-bay and Gardening. Interment will be on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA, beside her husband, Hoyt and her daughter, Nancy Puckett.
