Woman breaks

into couple's home

NORCROSS - A married couple at Las Colinas apartments on Lia Hills Drive was the victim of a home invasion Friday by a suspected drug addict.

The husband was lying in bed and his wife was taking a shower at 9 p.m. when an unidentified woman pried open their front door with a tire iron. The woman struck their bedroom door several times and hit the television with the tire iron, according to a police report. She then grabbed the husband's wallet and fled through the bedroom window.

The couple told police that the intruder appeared to be high on some type of drug. She was described as a white woman of medium build, about 5 feet tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a gray tank top and blue jeans, the report said.

Man robs Kinko's worker at gunpoint

•LAWRENCEVILLE - An unidentified man on Saturday robbed Fed-Ex Kinko's at 2003 Riverside Parkway.

The suspect entered the store at 10 p.m., approached a checkout counter and demanded money from the employee at gunpoint, according to a police report. He then walked behind the counter and made the employee and other witnesses lie on the floor in the back corner of the store while he escaped out the front.

The suspect is described as a black man of average size, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 to 190 pounds wearing a black T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

Two arrested

after brawl at club

LAWRENCEVILLE - A Norcross man and two others were arrested Wednesday after a fight broke out at Cafe La Vaca at 3580 Sweetwater Road.

Joel Roberson, 19, allegedly became angry when a security guard told him not to smoke in the building. He then cursed at the guard, flicked his cigarette at him and pushed him down, according to a police report.

Witnesses said Roberson began punching and kicking the guard, and multiple people then became involved in the brawl. The crowd was eventually dispersed by police.

Roberson was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Two other men involved in the scuffle - 18-year-old Xavier Hicks, of Lawrenceville, and 18-year-old Kelvin Curtis Quarles, of Tucker - were also charged with disorderly conduct.
