Bray - Nash

Whitney Jaclyn Bray and Judson Paul Nash were married on July 8 at Charles Ezra Daniel Memorial Chapel on the campus of Furman University. The bride's uncle, Dr. Robert L. Crisman Jr., officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Bray III, of Easley, S.C., and the granddaughter of John Thomas Bray Jr., the late Mr. Bray of Greenville, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. W. Jackson McNeely of Easley, S.C. She is a graduate of North Greenville University and is employed by Cogburn Woods Elementary School in Alpharetta.

The groom is the son of Barbara Paul Nash and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin P. Nash of Atlanta. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin B. Nash Jr. of Lawrenceville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Henry Paul of Jacksonville, Fla. He is a graduate of Auburn University and is employed by Beazer Homes of Atlanta as a builder.

Sandee Smith Blankenship of Pickens, S.C., was the bride's matron of honor, and Jessica Ann Nash of Birmingham, Ala. was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Victoria Barrett Crisman of Greenville, S.C.; Sandy Scott Riffe of Woodstock; and Abbie Vaughn Meadows of Greenville, S.C.

Junior bridesmaids were Abigail Elizabeth McNeely and Annie Reed McNeely, both of Easley, S.C.

The groom's best men were Alvin B. Nash and Jason Christopher Wise, both of Atlanta.

Groomsmen were Jon Thomas Bray of Easley, S.C.; Shaun Michael Dodson of Lawrenceville; Matthew Daniel Avera of Woodstock; Joseph Stanley Borden of Montgomery Ala.; Wesley Aaron Riffe of Woodstock; and Michael Ryan Tyler of Marietta.

The couple now resides in Atlanta.

Thompson - Rising

Mary Claire Thompson and Tyson Patrick Rising were married on May 6 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Fla. The reception followed at the Timuquana Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Doran Thompson of Jacksonville, Fla. and the granddaughter of Judge and Mrs. Joel Stewart Thwaites and Mr. and Mrs. James Ernest Thompson, all of Atlanta. She is a graduate of the Bolles School in Jacksonville and Vanderbilt University. She is employed by Medtronic Sofamor Danek.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Stephenson Rising of Lawrenceville, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Guilford Andrew Kyker and the late Martha Coyner Kyker from Jackson, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Helder Reginald Rising of Brunswick. He is a graduate of Greater Atlanta Christian School and Georgia State University. He is employed by Merrill Lynch.

After a honeymoon to Bermuda, the couple now resides in Atlanta.
