Dorothy Varga, 89, walked into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday July 14, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. Born August 18, 1916 in Lorain, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen Murbach and the widow of William G. Varga. She was preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne Orvis and a brother John Murbach. A memorial service will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday July 18, 2006 at Tuckston United Methodist Church, Athens, GA. with Dr. Shiela Bookout and Rev. Jerry Meredith officiating. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy & Bob Mulford, Athens, Ga., daughter, Malinda Easterday, Gainesville, Ga., and son and daughter-in-law, Randy & Gladys Varga, Bradenton, Fl., her 4 grandchildren, Richelle Nix, Todd Mulford, Shannon Macy & Geoff Meyers; and six great grandchildren. Mr. Everett W. Linscott of Atlanta died Sunday, July 16, 2006. A member of Peachtree Baptist Church he was a veteran of World War II serving with an artillery battery with the second wave landing at Normandy and the invasion of Sicily. Mr. Linscott was an insurance adjuster with Boston Insurance Company now known as CNA Insurance. He was preceded in death by his first wife Leona and son Skip Linscott. Mr. Linscott is survived by his wife Mary Charles Linscott; son, Alan and his wife Zully Linscott of Melbourne Beach, FL; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Linscott; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Meredith Linscott, Jennifer and her husband Shane Wood, Mark and Melanie Linscott; step-children, Vicki and Steven Ashby and their sons, Drew, Patrick and Mark Ashby; great grandchildren, John, Emma and Tristan Linscott. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was a member of Luxomni Masonic Lodge for over 53 years and a member of the Yaarab Temple.
