Howard - Francis

Mr. Donald B. Howard of Ellaville and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ottman of Columbus announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Lee Howard of Columbus, to Michael Anthony Francis of Roanoke, Va., son of Michael and Tracy Francis of Snellville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Colquitt of Columbus and Dorothy Howard and the late Bishop Howard of Atlanta. She is a graduate of Hardaway High School. She is a graduate of Troy University, where she received a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She is employed as an elementary school teacher.

The future groom is the grandson of Louise D. Francis and the late George A. Francis and Margaret W. Ward and the late Curtis C. Ward, all of Greenville, S.C. He is a graduate of Brookwood High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed by Stryker Medical as an outside salesperson for the medical equipment division.

The wedding is planned for July 29 at Wynnton United Methodist Church in Columbus.

Launius - Mobley

Mr. and Mrs. George and Nancy Launius of Buckhead announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Wood Launius of Buckhead, to Kenneth Paul Mobley of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vance and Karen Mobley of Loganville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones of Macon and Mildred Stapleton Launius and the late John Crosby Launius of Monroe. She is a 1999 graduate of Morgan County High School. She is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she received her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering and her master's degree in medical physics.

The future groom is the grandson of Shirley Smith Lear of LaGrange and the late Kenneth Wilson Smith and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul David Mobley of Decatur. He is a 2000 graduate of George Walton Academy. He is a 2004 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received his bachelor's degree in management. He is employed by Georgia Department of Audits as an advanced staff auditor.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 26 at the Madison Baptist Church in Madison.

Johnsey - Britt

The Rev. and Mrs. Phillip Johnsey of Lebanon, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Susan Johnsey of Lebanon, Tenn., to Timothy Ryan Britt of Pelham, Ala., son of Dr. and Mrs. William H. Britt of Dacula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. George Smith of LaGrange and Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Johnsey of Corinth, Miss. She is a graduate of Lebanon High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Converse College, where she received a bachelor's degree in studio art with a minor in business administration. She is pursuing a master's degree at the University of Alabama in art education. She is employed by Jefferson Co. Schools in Alabama.

The future groom is the grandson of Betty Jo Maxwell and the late Henry A. Maxwell and the late Carson H. and Irene Britt, all of Dacula. He is a graduate of Dacula High School and received a bachelor's degree from Shorter College in communication leadership. He is employed by Student Life Inc. in Alabama.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 12 at Lookout Mountain.

Beach - Handley

Joe and Ann Beach of Alpharetta announce the engagement of their daughter, Christine Marie Beach of Alpharetta, to Michael Ryan Handley of Marietta, son of Jay and Babs Handley of Snellville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Norma Beach of Belle Fontaine, Ohio, and Betty Wolf of Cumming. She is a 2005 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she received a bachelor's degree in speech communications. She is employed by J. Smith Lanier & Co. as an assistant account manager.

The future groom is the grandson of Mike and Marie Handley of Huntsville, Ala., Nancy Harbin of Huntsville, Ala., and Tony and Penny Wielicki of Pulaski, Tenn.
