Mrs. Bernice B. Whitford, age 81, of Buford, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2006. She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Keith Whitford. Surviving are: Husband of 60 Years: William Whitford, Buford, GA; Daughters and Son-in-Law: Dianna and Henry Toms, Dixon, IL, Julie Whitford, Dacula, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Dennis and Jo Ellen Whitford, Greer, SC, James Whitford, Dacula, GA, Jerry and Jil Whitford, Cumming, GA; Nine Grandchildren; Three Great Grandchildren; Brothers-in-Law and Sisters-in-Law; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Whitford was born on April 22, 1925 in Lee County, Illinois. She was a homemaker and lived in the Atlanta area for 37 years. She was a member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1350 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Suwanee, GA. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dixon, Illinois. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Christiansen and Rev. Nancy Christiansen officiating.
