Thornton Baker Cabe

Thornton Baker Cabe, age 74 of Winder, GA, passed away July 6, 2006. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 10, 2006 at Winder First Baptist Church with Rev. John Talley officiating. Internment will be in Sylva, NC. Mr. Cabe was in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a loving husband for 52 years and also a loving father and grandfather. He was the founder of Cabe Enterprizes. He opened the Winder KFC 30 years ago and went on to build 7 Western Sizzlin Steakhouses, 3 KFC's and 3 Jeffery's Sports Grill. He was still active in his business at 74 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thornton Baker and Annie Reed Cabe, and sister, Ruth Bradley. He is survived by his Wife, Frankie F. Cabe of Winder; Son & Daughter-in-law, Jeffrey & Lorri Cabe of Winder; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Beth & David Rosenzweig of Winder, Melanie & Al Maddox of Winder; Grandchildren: Emma Rosenzweig, Jessica Maddox, Savannah Maddox, Hunter Maddox; Sisters, Irene Fisher of Sylva, NC, Gladys Clark of Sylvia, NC. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Tree House or Homeless Shelter.
