Richard J. Pfeiffer, died July 2, 2006 of Alzheimer's disease. He was born to Joseph and Mary Them-Pfeiffer on October 1, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the University of Detroit and graduated with honors. He worked as a copywriter in many advertising firms. On September 11, 1948, he was married to Betty Purcell. He was preceded in death by his wife; his brother, Ned; and his daughter, Kathryn Pfeiffer-Seeba. He is survived by a son, Joseph and daughter-in-law, Cyndi of Lawrenceville, GA; a son-in-law, James Seeba of Alpharetta, GA; and a son, Richard Jr. and daughter-in-law, Christina of Carlsbad, CA. He has 6 grandchildren whom he loved deeply. Before his illness he could discuss any topic. He was a kind man who was rich with praise for all who helped him. The family will have a visitation from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Thursday at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy., Sandy Springs, GA and a Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody on Friday at 10:30 a.m., burial will be immediately after at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
