Rosa Guerra recently received Hampton Inn's "Spirit of Pride" award, the brand's most prestigious honor for an associate of one of its 1,400 Hampton Inn hotels nationwide. Rosa is only the second person from Georgia to win the award in several years.
Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. has been named to Fortune magazine's list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. At No. 20 in the rankings, the employee-owned engineering and planning firm has nearly 2,000 staff in 54 offices, including Gwinnett.
Athens Pizza recently signed a lease with Discover Mills mall in Lawrenceville to open its Atlanta-area restaurant this spring.
The Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors (NAMAR) has installed new 2006 officers: Mike Small, president; Peggy Slappey, president elect; Cody Moran, treasurer; and Linda Hutchinson, secretary.
Olympic gold medalist and Stone Mountain resident Sam Graddy recently joined Oglethorpe University as director of annual giving. Graddy oversees the $1 million Oglethorpe Fund, which rose above the halfway mark in December.
