Dacula's Jarrard gets 1,000th point in win

DACULA - Brittany Jarrard scored her 1,000th point as Dacula rolled past South Forsyth 56-40 on Tuesday.

Jarrard had nine points and five steals in the victory. Vanessa Toussaint led all scorers with 16 points.


Grayson 45, Brookwood 44

LOGANVILLE - Grayson (11-11, 5-6) used clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch to seal a Region 8-AAAAA victory over Brookwood 45-44 on Tuesday.

Adrianne Griffith led the Rams with a game-high 26 points and Michelle O'Quinn chipped in with 10 points.

Courtney McLane led Brookwood with 14 points.

Parkview 62, Central 58

LAWRENCEVILLE - Parkview used a fourth-quarter surge to prevail 62-58 against Central Gwinnett in Region 8-AAAAA on Tuesday.

Jessica Geiger led the Panthers with a game-high 18 points.

Ashleigh Fox and Sczeny Hartry both had 12 points.

Jasmine Scott had 17 points and Jasmine Stovall added 16 points for Central (11-11, 4-7).

Norcross 65, Centennial 45

NORCROSS - Janee Thomas led Norcross with 18 points and nine rebounds as it defeated Centennial 65-45 on Tuesday. Jasmine Goodwin also had a strong night with 16 points, seven rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Mill Creek 60, Chattahoochee 52

ALPHARETTA - Mill Creek (16-7, 5-3) used tremendous free-throw shooting in the fourth quarter to defeat Chattahoochee 60-52 on Tuesday.

Porsha Porter led Mill Creek with 15 points and Shelbie Pool had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tia Williams also had a solid night with nine points and 10 rebounds.

Peachtree Ridge 38, Duluth 34

SUWANEE - Peachtree Ridge had three players in double figures at it topped Duluth 38-34 in Region 7-AAAAA on Tuesday.

Ariel Overstreet, Amber Blackwell and Rhea Taylor all had 10 points each for Peachtree Ridge.

Freshman Daphne Adebayo led all scorers with 14 points for Duluth (8-16, 4-3). Adebayo also had seven rebounds and three steals.

Wesleyan 61, East Hall 40

NORCROSS - Freshman sensation Anna Marie Armstrong led Wesleyan with a game-high 19 points as it defeated East Hall 61-40 on Tuesday. Kelly Hall had a strong night as she added 15 points for the Wolves.

GAC 51, Cartersville 45

CARTERSVILLE - Greater Atlanta Christian (17-5, 8-2) used a second-half comeback to defeat Cartersville 51-45 on Tuesday.

D'Nay Daniels led the Spartans with 20 points. Kiki Swanier, Mollie Mitchell and Courtney Samuels all chipped in with eight points each.

Zamisha Moore led Cartersville with 20 points.

Buford 60, Providence 34

BUFORD - Victoria Peevy led Buford (18-4, 2-3) with 16 points as it rolled past Providence Christian 60-34 in Region 8-AA on Tuesday. Vicky Wilson chipped in with 10 points.

Carli West led Providence with 14 points.

Hebron 67, Social Circle 50

SOCIAL CIRCLE - Hebron Christian went on a 15-5 run in the second quarter to put the game out of reach as it defeated Social Circle 67-50 on Tuesday.

Courtney Odum scored a game-high 20 points and Meredith Montgomery had a strong night with 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Amy Herald chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Greater Gwinnett 55, North Atlanta Flight 52

SANDY SPRINGS - Jayme Raab led Greater Gwinnett Christian with 15 points as it defeated North Atlanta Flight 55-52 on Tuesday. Michelle Smith had a solid night with 15 points and 11 rebounds.


Grayson 43, Brookwood 41

LOGANVILLE - Armond Morris hit a jump shot as time expired to push Grayson (8-14, 2-9) past Brookwood, 43-41, in Region 8-AAAAA on Tuesday.

Eddie Izenady led the Rams with 10 points.

Russ Kanner led Brookwood with 12 points.

Parkview 67, Central 45

LAWRENCEVILLE - Michael Palmer led Parkview with 15 points as it defeated Central Gwinnett 67-45 in Region 8-AAAAA on Tuesday. Ty Rowland also had a solid night with 14 points and 13 assists.

Collins Hill 56, North 53

SUWANEE - Collins Hill (15-6, 7-1) had four players in double figures as it slipped past North Gwinnett 56-53 in Region 7-AAAAA on Tuesday night.

Kurt Diel led the Eagles with 14 points. Antron Pippen and Westley Telfare both had 13 points and Emmanuel Perry chipped in with 11 points.

Ebuka Anyaorah led North with 14 points.

Peachtree Ridge 64,

Duluth 56

SUWANEE - Junior standout Zach Graham had 29 points and 12 rebounds as he led Peachtree Ridge past Duluth 64-56 in Region 7-AAAAA on Tuesday. Bryan Piles also had a strong night with 18 points and 10 assists.

Jesse Wheeler led Duluth with 16 points.

South 56, Berkmar 54, OT

LILBURN - Michael Chatman paced South Gwinnett with 19 points to lead all scorers on the night as the Comets topped Berkmar 56-54 in a thriller on Tuesday.

Buford 85, Providence 32

BUFORD - Buford outscored Providence Christian 52-10 in the first half and rolled to a 85-32 win on Tuesday in a Region 8-AA matchup.

Terrance Burdette led the Wolves with 15 points and nine rebounds. Isaiah Cross also had a solid night with 13 points and Justin Roper chipped in with 11 rebounds.

Bryan McLanahan led Providence with 10 points.

East Hall 83, Wesleyan 65

NORCROSS - Howard Thompkins led Wesleyan with 27 points, but it was not enough as No. 1 East Hall rolled past Wesleyan 83-65 in Region 8-AA on Tuesday.

Tanner Smith added 16 points for the Wolves.

Rockdale 56, Loganville 45

CONYERS - Jay Moon led Rockdale with 18 points as it topped Loganville 56-45 on Tuesday.

Ron Morrow led Loganville with 14 points.

Greater Gwinnett 55, North Atlanta Flight 47

SANDY SPRINGS - J.D. Davis led Greater Gwinnett Christian with 14 points and nine rebounds as it defeated North Atlanta Flight 55-47 on Tuesday. Michael Stanley chipped in with 13 points for the Barons.
