AUBURN
SMITH, JOHNNIE Mrs. Johnnie P. Smith, age 88, of Auburn, GA, passed away January 20, 2006. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Smith Memory Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Brewer and Rev. Billie Ray Banks officiating. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Smith, parents, John W. and Eula M. Cruce Parks, and great grandchild, Steven Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Zabiel of Statham; son, William Ray (Smitty) Smith of Auburn; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Parks of Auburn; sister, Lourene Baird of Braselton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 23, 2006 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Reverend Tim Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Gardens, Lawrenceville. Son, Joseph R. Cole, preceded Mr. Cole in death. Wife, Willie M. Cole of Dacula, survives him. He was survived by children, Danny E. Huckaby of Dacula, Mike Huckaby of Winder, Robert Steven Cole of Cedartown, David Wayne Cole of Powder Springs, Buddy Thomas Cole of Marietta, Rebecca Yvonne Meers of Cedartown, Timothy Jeffery Cole of Cedartown, and Ron "Stacy" Cole of Dacula; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces also survive. JEFFERSON RUCKER, WILLIE Mrs. Willie Mae Brown Rucker, age 80 of Jefferson, Georgia died Friday, January 20, 2006. Arrangements by Evans Funeral Home, Inc., Jefferson, GA, 706-367-5467.* LAWRENCEVILLE SOWELL, CARL SETZER Carl Setzer Sowell of Lawrenceville, age 59, died at home Friday, January 20, 2006, following a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Leila "Le" McKenzie Sowell; two daughters, Ashley Nicole Sowell of New York, NY, and Carla Raye Wilson of Bethlehem, GA; and his mother, Mardelle Sowell of Conyers, GA. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl. Setzer was born July 22, 1946, in Griffin, GA. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army, where he served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He entered the electrical industry in 1970 as a manufacturers representative, and became President of Electrical Sales & Marketing (formally McKenzie-Sowell-Woodyard) in 1985. He was known throughout the industry for his quick wit and humor, and always had a story to tell. He never met a stranger, and never had an enemy. He was most recently employed by Electrical Products, Inc., whose management and employees became his extended family and support during his battle with cancer. He was a member of the Greater Atlanta Electric League, and past President of the Fellowship of Businessmen. His body will be cremated. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, January 23, 2006 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Reverend Bob Franklin will officiate. PANAMA CITY, FL HUDGINS, RONALD Ronald "Ron" Hudgins, Jr., age 41, passed away peacefully at his home in Panama City, Florida on January 19, 2006.
