NORCROSS - FBI agents Thursday arrested a 44-year-old South Carolina man accused of traveling to Norcross to have sex with a person he thought was a young girl but who was really an undercover agent.
Robert Thomas, a construction company owner from Batesburg, S.C., allegedly thought he was meeting a mother and her 11-year-old daughter to have sex with the girl, said Special Agent Stephen Emmett of the FBI. He was apprehended at an undisclosed location in Norcross. The arrest was a result of an undercover investigation by the Safe Child Task Force, an FBI-led coalition of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies working to target child sex predators and the producers and distributors of child pornography.More like this story
