Duluth boys knock off No. 10 Peachtree Ridge, 46-45

DULUTH - The Duluth boys upset No. 10 Peachtree Ridge on Friday night, beating the Lions 46-45 in Region 7-AAAAA action.

Caleb Samples led the Wildcats (5-10, 1-1) with 12 points. Duluth's Derron Morris also chipped in with 11 points.

Zach Graham led Peachtree Ridge with 12 points.


Mill Creek 49, Chattahoochee 45

HOSCHTON - Chase Anderson hit a 3-pointer with 27 seconds left in the game to lead Mill Creek (6-10, 1-2) past Chattahoochee 49-46 Friday. Anderson led all scorers on the night with 22 points.

Clint Boling led Chattahoochee with 14 points.

East Hall 93, Wesleyan 70

GAINESVILLE - Wesleyan (12-3, 5-1) got a game-high 29 points from Howard Thompkins but fell to No. 1 ranked East Hall 93-70 Friday.

Frank Davis led East Hall with 26 points.

Dawson County 64, GAC 54

NORCROSS - Reece Wiedeman led Greater Atlanta Christian with 22 points and 12 rebounds but the Spartans fell to Dawson County 64-54 Friday.

Shawn Scosbee led Dawson County with 24 points.

Loganville 51, Rockdale County 49

LOGANVILLE - Loganville (7-7) won a hard-fought victory over Rockdale County 51-49 on Friday. Kevin Wages led Loganville with 11 points.

Rockdale County was led by Justin Riggins, who had 15 points.

Buford 62, Providence 34

LILBURN - Buford got 13 points from Cam Sherman as the Wolves cruised to a 62-34 win over Providence on Friday.

Mark Swanson had nine points for Buford (9-4, 6-2), while Providence was led by Durk Stanton with 14 points.

Meadowcreek 78, Berkmar 69 OT

Lilburn - Teondre Williams scored 19 points to lift Meadowcreek to a 78-69 overtime win over Berkmar on Friday.

Mark Veazey added 10 points for Meadowcreek (11-5, 3-2).

Collins Hill 73, North 43

SUWANEE - Collins Hill (7-6, 4-3) rolled past North 73-43 in Region 7-AAAAA play on Friday. The Eagles outscored North 38-12 in the second half to put the game out of reach. Emmanuel Terry led all scorers on the night with 25 points for the Eagles.

Eric Tiller led North (5-10) with eight points.


Dacula 49, South Forsyth 46

CUMMING - Vanessa Toussaint hit a 3-pointer as time expired to lift Dacula (13-1) past South Forsyth 49-46 Friday. Sophomore Abbie Daniel led the Falcons with 12 points.

South Forsyth's Stephanie Stoms had 14 points to lead all scorers.

Collins Hill 67, North 44

SUWANNEE - No. 1 ranked Collins Hill (13-1, 7-0) rolled past North Gwinnett 66-44 Friday in Region 7-AAAAA play. Standout Maya Moore led the way with 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Taylor Dalrymple also chipped in with nine points for the Eagles.

Katie McDannald led North (13-3) with 10 points.

South 56, Grayson 30

SNELLVILLE - South Gwinnett (13-3, 6-0) continued its dominance in Region 8-AAAAA as it topped Grayson 56-30 Friday. Gia Lockett led the way with 12 points and Emily Clarke also chipped in with 11 points. Antoinette Howard scored 10 points in her first appearance of the season for the Comets.

Adrianne Griffith had 16 points to lead all scorers on the night for Grayson.

Berkmar 60, Meadowcreek 43

LILBURN - Tyra Smith led Berkmar with 13 points as it defeated Meadowcreek 60-43 Friday.

Genea Williams led Meadowcreek (2-12, 0-7) with 21 points.

Mill Creek 53, Chattahoochee 46

HOSCHTON - Shelbie Pool led Mill Creek (11-5, 2-1) with 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals as it defeated Chattahoochee 53-46 Friday. Brittany Howes also had a solid night with 15 points.

Chattahoochee was led by Lauren Carson who had 14 points.

Wesleyan 70, East Hall 28

GAINESVILLE - Wesleyan outscored East Hall 37-7 in the second half as it rolled 70-28 Friday. Wesleyan had four players in double figures on the night. Carolyn Whitney led the Wolves with 15 points. Sarah Delk also chipped in with 14 points.

Hebron 79, Commerce 23

COMMERCE - Hebron (9-6, 2-1) got off to a quick start and never looked back as it defeated Commerce 79-23. Hebron was led by Meredith Montgomery, who had 19 points and eight steals. Courtney Odum also chipped in with 16 points.

GAC 41, Dawson County 25

NORCROSS - Greater Atlanta Christian (13-3, 6-0) got a total team effort as it defeated Dawson County 41-25 on Friday. Mollie Mitchell led GAC with nine points. Courtney Samuels also chipped in with eight points and seven steals.

Duluth 35, Peachtree Ridge 28

DULUTH - Duluth (6-11, 2-1) topped Peachtree Ridge in Region 7-AAAAA play 35-28 on Friday. Mykala Walker scored all of her 11 points in the second half to lead the way for the Wildcats. Daphne Adebayo also had a strong night with 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Amber Blackwell led Peachtree Ridge with nine points.

Buford 44, Providence 36

LILBURN - Victoria Peevy led Buford with 14 points as it slipped past Providence 44-36 Friday. Sarah Scott also chipped in with 10 points for the Wolves.

Providence (8-7, 4-2) was led by Carli West, who had 11 points.

Greater Gwinnett 67,

Forrest Park 40

FORREST PARK - Greater Gwinnett (10-8) rolled as it defeated Forrest Park 67-40 Friday. Michelle Smith led the way with 20 points for the Barons. Jaymie Raab also had a solid night with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
