PUCKETT, FAYE Faye Bryant Puckett, age 81 of Buford, died at home after an extended illness Wednesday, January 4, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2006 in the chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Puckett was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Arnold Puckett. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Marc & Nancy Puckett, Suches, Chris & Pam Puckett, Buford; grandchildren, Valerie & Bryan Gillman, Dahlonega, Matthew & Annie Puckett, Flowery Branch; great grandson, Luke Puckett, Flowery Branch. Mrs. Puckett was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was an avid nature lover who enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Flowers are greatly appreciated, however, those so desiring may make contributions to any wildlife conservation organization. Mrs. Taylor received her Batchelor Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2004, was studying for her Masters Degree in Marital Family Counseling and was a Volunteer with Gwinnett County DFACS. She is survived by her Husband of 26 years: Cliff Taylor, Loganville; Children: Erin Lee & William Taylor of Grandview, TX, Virginia Ann & David Barber, Loganville; Father: Kenneth Krause, PA; Mother: Ruth Lee, Loganville; Brothers: Steven Krause, AK, Larry Krause, Germany, William Skidmore, FL, David Krause, NY; Sisters: Laura Rose, PA, Ruth Berrious, MA; Mother-in-law: Doris Taylor, Loganville; Grandchild: Jaxon Avery Barber; Many Nieces & Nephews. MONROE SEARS, ROBERT Robert "Bruce" Sears was born on Sept. 12, 1963. He passed away at his home with his loving family beside him on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Lori Sears; four children, Timothy Bruce, 18 years old, Stacey Ann, 16 years old, Elizabeth, 14 years old, and Aimee Marie, 13 years old; father, Maurice Sears; two brothers, Bennie and David; sister, Donna; two nephews; four nieces; and various friends and family. Memorial services were held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church. The family received friends after the service at the home his father-in-law, Robert Holmes. RUTLEDGE STANTON, CHARLES Charles R. (Papa Jack) Stanton, 74, of Rutledge, formerly of Lithonia, GA, died Monday, January 2, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian S. and Nora B. Stanton, brother, Perry Stanton, and sister, Gladys Mote. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 5, 2006 at Centennial Baptist Church, Rutledge. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Mr. Stanton proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from BellSouth in 1986 after 32 years of service to ramble around his farm, gardening, fishing and playing with his pets, Scubee and Sam. Papa Jack most enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Stanton is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sara Farrill (Frankie) Stanton of Rutledge; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Cheryl Stanton of Mansfield, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sereta and Wayne Wallis of Auburn, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Hunter of Douglasville, GA. Grandchildren: Adam and Amy Stanton of Covington, GA; Summer Paige and Patrick Shugart of Snellville, GA; Brooke and Jimmy Woodward of Flowery Branch, GA; Jason Barfield of Douglasville, GA; Ben and Julie Wallis of Jacksonville Beach, FL; Jonathan and Amanda Wallis of Bethlehem, GA; Katie Wallis of Auburn, GA. Great grandchildren: Alex, Bailee and Savannah Stanton; Sydney and Riley Shugart; Grace and Griffin Woodward; Landon and Jaxon Wallis. Brothers: Cecil and Donna Stanton, James and Linda Stanton, and Louie Stanton; Sister: Barbara Vickery; Several nieces and nephews. A.E.
