Janice Higgins Doty of Atlanta, passed away on December 30, 2005. She was born on June 25, 1940 and was a native of Atlanta. She graduated from Russell High School. Surviving are: her 3 children, Rick, Jennifer and Debbie; 6 grandchildren; her dear friend, Annie Joe Malcolm and Mr. Marvin Meyers. A loving mother, she was a great Southern cook, who loved to entertain. Everyone appreciated her sense of humor. She was a member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church and was a board member of the Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association. Mrs. Geraldine Brown, age 68, of Buford, GA passed away on December 29, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Brown. Albert Hazen, 94, of Dacula, died Friday December 30, 2005. The funeral will be at 4 PM Monday January 2, 2006 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Rev. Tamlyn Collins officiating. Interment will be in Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville. A native of Midland Park, NJ, Mr. Hazen retired from the Ridgewood New Jersey Police Department in 1968 after 26 years of service. He worked for 14 years in the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ before moving to Georgia in 1991. He was a member of Berkmar United Methodist Church. Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and John McCauslan of Dacula; granddaughters, Robin Forbes of Lawrenceville, Bonnie Klostermann of Athens, and Penny Wingard of Bethlehem; great grandchildren, John Forbes, Robert Forbes, Brianna Wingard and Carly Wingard; brothers, Gary Hazen and James Hazen, both of Midland Park, NJ; sister, Kate Yolman of Pinehurst, SC.
