Sims - Chaffin
Alyson Rheanna Sims and Geoffrey Harris Chaffin were married July 24, 2005 at Forest Hills in Dahlonega. The Rev. Scott Smith officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Donald and Rebecca Sims of Gainesville. She graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a master's degree in early childhood education development. She is employed as a teacher at Lanier Elementary School in Murrayville.
The groom is the son of Harry and Carol Chaffin of Snellville. He graduated from Reinhardt College with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed as the membership and marketing director at the Hall County YMCA.
Lauryn Sims of Gainesville served as the bride's maid of honor.
Aimee Chaffin of Nashville, Tenn., served as a bridesmaid.
Harry Chaffin of Snellville served as the groom's best man.
Tyler Sims served as a groomsman.
After a honeymoon trip to Sand Key, Fla., the couple resides in Gainesville.
Jones - Caston
Jennifer Lauren Jones and Timothy Andrew Caston were married Dec. 17, 2005. The Revs. Roger Ferrell and James Harper officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Margie Jones of Auburn and the granddaughter of the late Ray and Margaret Wiles of Lawrenceville and the late Dick and Chris Jones of Jonesboro. She is a 1996 graduate of Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland and is employed by Delta Airlines in Atlanta.
The groom is the son of Donnie and Linda Caston of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and the grandson of Brady Sue Coile of Mount Pleasant, S.C., and the late E.B. Coile of Winterville and the late J.B. and Connie Caston of Jackson. He attended Truett-McConnell College in Watkinsville and served in the Army. He is employed at The Home Depot in Charleston, S.C.
Jennifer Hardeman of Lawrenceville served as the bride's maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Lori Furlong of Lawrenceville, Angelica Leon of Norcross and Jennifer Mason of Lawrenceville. Emily Brown of Lawrenceville was the flower girl.
Father of the groom, Donnie Caston of Mount Pleasant, S.C., served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were Ty Caston of Charleston, S.C., brother of the groom; Michael Jones of Auburn, the brother of the bride; Stephane Chartrand of Lexington; and John Zillman of Athens. Patrick Coile of Suwanee served as the ring bearer.
After their honeymoon, the couple will reside in Charleston, S.C.
Kathy and Lloyd Barnes of Lawrenceville celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Tuesday. Kathy and Lloyd have five children: Greg, Melissa, Allyson, Katie, and Laura. They also have four grandchildren: Jared, Morgan, Matthew, and Madison. Lloyd and Kathy own a family business in Stone Mountain selling health care equipment and have been in business for 12 years.
