Jack W. West, age 76, of Canon, Georgia, formerly of Buford, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2006 following an extended illness. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 26, at 2 o'clock p.m. in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Buford. Reverend Donnie Joe Davis will officiate. Interment will follow at Gravel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. West was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacklyn Ann West; a brother, J. D. West; and his parents, Daniel Joseph West and Ora Griffith West. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Maxine Davis West; daughter, Linda Jean Bradford and her special friend, Marcelino Fernandez; granddaughter and husband, Melissa and Mark Vaughn; and great-granddaughter, Megan Vaughn, all of Canon. Other survivors include: sister, Johnnie W. Glaze, Buford; sister and brother-in-law, Wylena and Glyndon Brown, Buford; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Peggy West, Canton; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Eugene Chapman, Atlanta; and sister and brother-in-law, Deanna and Glyndon Pruitt, Buford. Mr. West was retired from the Doraville plant of General Motors Corporation. James Carl McKee, age 85, of Dacula, died February 23, 2006. He was born and raised in Henry County and retired from Nabisco after 43 years of service. Mr. McKee was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and a veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bankston McKee; son, John Wayne McKee and wife, Pamela, Lawrenceville; son, Charles Madison McKee and wife, Laura, Ellijay; grandchildren, Steve and Greg McKee and Chrissy Bain; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Bun McKee, Tucker; and many loving family members and friends. Martin Franklin Bryan Jr., age 58 of Lilburn, GA, passed away on February 21, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years: Juliette (Nui) Bryan; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Crissy and Jeff Gurewitz of Lawrenceville, GA; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Suzanna and Jeffrey Horton of Grayson, GA; Grandchildren: Jackson, Samantha and Noah Gurewitz and Joel Avey and two furry companions, Emma Rae and Gracie. Frank, a devoted husband, loving father and true friend to all who knew him, was a US Army veteran and a dedicated employee of BellSouth with 37 years of service. William G. Lunsford, Jr., age 68 of Loganville, GA died February 23, 2006 after a 19 1/2 year battle as a stroke survivor. He was a beloved husband, father, and son who never gave up in his struggle against his many illnesses. As a member of Westside Baptist Church, Bill dearly loved the Lord and cherished time spent with his church family. A native Atlantan, Mr. Lunsford was employed many years in the energy management field as a mechanical engineer. He was a loyal fan of Georgia Tech and prior to his stroke was an active, skilled outdoor sportsman. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sarah Sue Lunsford; father, William G. Lunsford, Sr.; grandson, Michael Becton and great grandson, Mason Becton. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne McCart Lunsford; daughters, Allyson Romedy of Millen, GA, Jennifer Wilson of Millen, GA, Taylor Suzanne Lunsford of Loganville; son, William G. Lunsford, III of Dunwoody; mother, Sarah Lunsford Watkins of Commerce; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Don Hall of Commerce; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Loni Lunsford of Austell; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
