Christopher Jarrett Boston, age 17 of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 after a heroic 3 year battle with Melanoma. Jarrett was a much loved son, brother and friend. Jarrett was a Junior at Collins Hill High School, where he played football as quarterback, basketball as point guard, baseball as a left fielder and played tennis. He was a gifted student who never received a grade lower than an A in any subject from kindergarten through his sophomore year. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Wansley and great grandparents, Ethel Wiles and Forest Wansley. Mrs. June Ellyn Simon nee-Guptail left us and went home to the Lord, February 22, 2006, after a valiant fight with breast cancer. She was born June 25, 1951 in Elgin, Illinois and has resided in Lawrenceville, Georgia for the last 13 years. She was a loving wife to Mark for 34 years and a devoted mother to her two sons, Zachary Thomas and Harrison Adam of Valdosta, Georgia. She was an accomplished singer and artist but her proudest accomplishment was her two boys. June had many varied talents. She was a florist, dog trainer, seamstress, horticulturist and interior designer. June was a member of the Prince of Peach Catholic Church where she was a cantor. She was a graduate of Larkin High School in Elgin in 1969. She was a member of the Elgin Choral Union, the Chicago Music of the Baroque, and several other choral groups throughout her lifetime. She participated in multiple theatrical performances in the Elgin area. June was a member of the Atlanta Portrait Society. June was survived by her husband and sons; her parents, Patricia Leverenz and John (Jean) Guptail; her sister, Barbara Holm; and her two loving nieces, Kelli Hurley and Kristi Holm; and several great nieces and nephews. Martin Franklin Bryan Jr., age 58 of Lilburn, GA, passed away on February 21, 2006. Frank, a devoted husband, loving father and true friend to all who knew him, was a US Army veteran and a dedicated employee of BellSouth with 37 years of service. Odell Yarbrough, age 89, of Lilburn, GA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 22, 2006, after a brief illness. A native of Gwinnett County, he retired from Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant in 1978 and was a long time resident of Lilburn, GA. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Lilburn for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Pauline Yarbrough; his parents, Marvin and Sallie Yarbrough; sisters, Lottie Stephens and Ruby Kenerly; and his brothers, Kelly Yarbrough and Clayton Yarbrough. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Mel Reynolds, Talking Rock, GA, Dianne and Louie McDonald, Columbia, SC; his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Donna Yarbrough, Lawrenceville, GA; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren; also a beloved sister, Mrs. Codell Y. Terry G. Hartnett, age 57 of Snellville, GA, formerly of Pompano Beach, FL died February 21, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Virginia Hartnett and is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Cyndy Hartnett; and his loving children, Tara Hartnett, and Timothy Hartnett all of Snellville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Gail Hartnett of Boise, Idaho, Dennis and Deborah Hartnett of Snellville; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Hartnett was an excellent athlete while growing up in Broward County, FL and was the Maintenance Supervisor with Publix in the Atlanta Division. He was very involved in his children's activities and sporting events, active member of Publix's Habitat For Humanities and had been active in mission work with his son Tim, in Mexico.
