Two arrested in school fight
•SNELLVILLE - Two 17-year-old students were arrested Thursday for allegedly attempting to start a fight at South Gwinnett High School. Ashley Waller and Randall Brown, both of Snellville, reportedly caused a disruption in the commons area of the school while trying to fight another student. Two administrators and a Gwinnett County Schools police officer had to hold down Waller and Brown to stop the brawl, according to an arrest warrant. The students are charged with a misdemeanor count of disrupting public school. Man charged with beating•LAWRENCEVILLE - A 38-year-old Tennessee man was arrested Wednesday and accused of beating another man with a metal pipe. Jimmie Massingale II, of Tellico Plains, Tenn., allegedly struck a male relative approximately 10 times on the leg at a residence on Ring Road in Duluth. The attack caused swelling to victim's ankle, according to an arrest warrant. Massingale was charged with battery and ordered to have no contact with the victim if he is released on bond, the warrant said. - From staff reportsMore like this story
