Elaine T. Weller, age 66 of Las Cruces, NM, formerly of Snellville, GA died February 16, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Mary Anne Terna, brothers, C. James Terna, DDS, Jackie Terna, David Terna and by the father of her loving children, David A. Weller. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alyson and Stephen Morrison, grandsons, Joshua and Dylan Morrison all of Lawrenceville; sons and daughter-in-law, David B. Weller; Douglas C. and Tracy Weller, granddaughter, Courtney Weller, and grandson Tristen Weller all of Loganville; significant other, Clyde Decker of Las Cruces, NM; sister, Paula and Ron Krispli of Youngstown, Ohio; brother, Jerry and Janice Terna of Florida; sister-in-law, Ruth Terna of Kaneohe, Hawaii; 3 nephews, 1 niece. Ms. Weller was a certified nurse midwife for 24 years and was in the nursing profession, labor and delivery for 200 years, prior to becoming a certified nurse midwife. She had the pleasure of delivering thousands of babies, including 2 of her grandsons. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 18 at 2pm at Wages Snellville Chapel. The remains will be cremated. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12noon until service time, at the funeral home. Wayne Stancil, age 57 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on February 16, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Mary Ann Stancil; Other survivors include: Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Daniel & Laura Stancil, Dacula; David & Mia Stancil, St. Louis, MO; Grandchildren: Taylor Ann & Jonah Daniel; Parents: Woodrow & Jean Stancil, Lawrenceville; Brothers & Sister-in-Law: Tom Stancil, Marietta; Steve & Marjie Stancil, Lawrenceville; Robert Stancil, Lawrenceville; Mother-in-Law: Mrs. Dean Childers, Lawrenceville; Brother-in-Law: Larry Childers, McDonough. He fought a long and courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma for the past 12 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, graduated from DeKalb College and an avid Georgia Tech fan. Wayne served from 1968 to 1971 in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Vietnam conflict and retired from Georgia State Department of Administrative Services as a budget officer. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball and recreational basketball for many years while his sons were growing up. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. he was preceded in death by his sister Joan Stancil Roach. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 P.M. at Hebron Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Britt officiating. Interment to follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Bernice Eloise Brewton, age 85 of Loganville, GA died February 17, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Brewton and daughters, Rita Jordan and Sherry Pilcher and is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Harold Rhyne of Charleston, SC, Beverly Hester of Loganville, Debra Wallis of Canton, Charlotte and Tom Brown of The Woodlands, TX; sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Stough of Loganville, Tim and Olivia Brewton of Decatur; sisters, Ealer Archer of Jefferson, Montine Hall of Tucker; 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brewton was a Walton County native, and a member of Rock Baptist Tabernacle in Lawrenceville. She was retired from Matthews Cafeteria as a cook. She delighted numerous people for many years with her turkey and dressing and banana pudding. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, at 3:30 pm at Wages Snellville Chapel with Lamar Wood and Minister Harold Savage officiating.
