Wallace Raymond Clamp, age 71 of Bethlehem, GA, passed away February 15, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 17, 2006 at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Parker Benson officiating. Mr. Clamp was born in Edgefield, SC. He was a graduate of Snellville High School, Class of 1953 and star baseball pitcher at Snellville High School. He was approached by the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team but chose to courageously defend our country by joining the US Air Force. He dutifully and faithfully served our country for 20 years, serving combat duty in Vietnam in 1965-1966 and 1968-1969. He was a member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church and a member of the Wesley Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his father, George C. Robert J. Boggs, age 71, of Buford, died Tuesday, February 14, 2006 following an extended illness. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. Hugh D. Walters, Sr., age 89, of Cornelia, GA, formerly of Toccoa, GA, Atlanta, GA, and St. Cloud, FL, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, following an extended illness. Mr. Walters was born on April 27, 1916, in Hart Co., GA to the late John William and Mary Etta Dodd Walters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emelia Louise Shue Walters; three brothers, Horace, Herbie and Jackie Walters; three sisters, Una Mae Pannell, Beuna Carter and Anna Dupree; and a grandson, Jimmy Crowder. Mr. Walters was a member of the Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA for many years. He was a Mason, Shriner, a member of the Lion's Club, and the Little Five Points Businessmen's Association. Mr. Walters served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Paul and Sherry Dickson, Cornelia, GA and Jim and Joan Crowder, St. Cloud, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Hugh, Jr. and Lindalee Walters, Lawrenceville, GA; two sisters, Katie Lee Romanello, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Betty Williams, Orlando, FL; one brother, Chaffin Walters, Kerrville, TX; six grandchildren, Judi Webb, Scott Walters, Gina King, Jeffrey Dickson, Jacquie Willette, and Shelly Walters; six great-grandchildren, Danielle and Jake Webb, Hannah, Jake, and Savannah Walters, Brianna Rose Willett; one great-great grandchild, Aaron McAllister. Gina Morgan Williams, age 43 of Walton County, Georgia passed away February 13, 2006. Gina was born in Emanuel County, Georgia. Survivors include: Husband of 20 years, Virgil R. Williams Jr.; 15 year old Daughter, Ashley Louise Williams; Brother, Barry (Bubba) Morgan; Sister-in-law, April Morgan; Mother, Lynda Morgan Mitchell; Father, JP Morgan II; Parents-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Williams Sr.; Grandmother, Etta Cowart Hall. Graduate of the Leadership Walton class of 2003. Was a George Walton Cross Country supporter. Sponsored two Hurricane Katrina victim families in 2005 in Walton County. Currently a Carver Middle school key communicator committee. Currently working towards forming a Young Life Chapter in Walton County.
