Citizens Police Academy starts
SUWANEE - Classes begin in March for the Suwanee Citizens Police Academy, a class that gives a behind-the-scenes look at policing.
Classes begin March 7, and are held once each week for seven weeks. The program is open to Suwanee residents and those who work in the city.
Topics include crime scene investigations, firearms safety, traffic stops, crime prevention and motor vehicle enforcement.

Gwinnett Tech offers tax prep
LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett Technical College is partnering with AARP Tax-Aide to offer free income tax preparation and tax counseling.
Volunteers will be at the campus through April 15. Counseling and assistance is available in Room 2201 of The Busbee Center at Gwinnett Tech from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.
