Barnard and Annie Lee Sims Barnard of Dacula. His maternal grandparents were Jack L. and Sallie Sims of Auburn, GA. He graduated from Dacula High School and the University of Georgia. He served in the German occupation army and retired from the Federal Government having worked in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Washington, D.C. He is survived by: Niece and her husband: Susanne & Jack Williams, Summerville, SC; Niece and her husband: Virginia Lee & John Atkinson, Gig Harbor, WA. Carolyn Louise Pennamon Faison, 62, of 39 W. Eleventh St, Jamestown, died at 11:22 AM in her home. She was born August 6, 1943 in Erie, PA the daughter of Carl Cleveland and Minnie Ola Walls Pennamon. Mrs. Faison was the wife of Charles Faison whom she married February 24, 1962 in Erie by the late Rev. J.L. McFarland. She was employed at Cummins Engine Co., Jamestown Plant from April 17, 1977 until her retirement April 1, 2005. Formerly she was employed at Proto Tool Co and King Manor Nursing Home. She was also employed at Infinity Performing Arts Program and SG Love Elementary After School Program, all of Jamestown. Mrs. Faison Accepted Christ at the age of 12 in the Shiloh Baptist Church, Erie. Her mother kept her busy at the church being active in Junior Choir and Junior Usher Board. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Jamestown, since 1962 and was active as a Sunday School Teacher, Senior Usher Board, Church Clerk, Kitchen Committee and directed the Junior and Senior Choir. She was choir director of Chautauqua Mass Choir from 1998 to 2003 and Choir Director for Community Choir, sang with Interdenominational Voices of Praise (Juneteenth) and chaired the Juneteenth Gospel Festival. She was also active with Jamestown Women,s Bowling Association and Chautauqua Temple #642 (Improved Benevolent Protective Order of Elks of the World. Surviving besides her husband are 3 sons Michael Anthony Faison of Erie, Charles Faison, Jr and Carl Alan Faison both of Jamestown; 4 grandchildren Tomia Elizabeth Faison of Erie, Charles Faison, III of Lawrenceville, GA, Isaiah Dupree Faison of Jamestown and Tasha Harris of Erie; 2 great grandchildren Sienna and Tamara Harris both of Erie; 3 sisters Margaret Hamilton Brown, Dorothy Harden Byrd and Jean Covington all of Erie; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Patricia and Candice Graves, Janet Graves, Sue Blake, Abbie Jones and Lorraine Warmack; and her God Children Ahmad Austin, Claytoven Leeper and Lisa Faison. Mrs. Faison was preceded in death by her daughter Deanna Lynn Faison on July 3, 1972. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday in the Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev.
