50th anniversary

Nedd and Barbara Mockler of Lilburn celebrated their 50th anniversary last month with a trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The couple then continued to the East Coast, visiting family members and sightseeing along the way.

The Mocklers have four daughters, Kyle Eckman of Lawrenceville, Karen Ballard of Bessemer, Ala., Kathryn Nuckoles of Richmond, Va. and Kimberly Ganzert of Richmond, Va.; one son, Kelly Mockler of Sugar Hill; and 14 grandchildren ranging in age from 27 to 4, Matthew Eckman of Denver., Marine Corps Cpl. Christopher Davis of Okinawa, Japan, Jessica, Erika and Adam Ballard of Bessemer, Ala., Carrie and Jordan Nuckoles of Richmond, Va., Michael and Joseph Pacelli, Matthew and Ashley Ganzert of Richmond, Va., and Jonah, Cody and Faith Mockler of Sugar Hill.

Nedd Mockler, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, works at Legacy Station and designs Web sites for businesses. Barbara Mockler retired as an executive secretary and has volunteered for the past eight years at Emory Eastside Hospital.

60th anniversary

Cecil and Jane Weaver celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with family and friends.

The Weavers were married Feb. 2, 1946, at Virginia Heights Lutheran Church in Roanoke, Va., after Lt. Cecil Weaver returned from serving active duty in World War II. Mr. Weaver retired from Texaco Inc. after 36 years. Mrs. Weaver is a retired homemaker.

The Weavers resided in Dunwoody for 34 years and moved to Delmar Gardens Retirement Community in Lawrenceville in 2003.

They have two married daughters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. They are Martha and Dan Clark of Lawrenceville, Jane and Bill Geier of Monticello, Fla., grandson Billy Geier and wife Mary of Swainsboro, and granddaughter Sheri Logue and husband Blaine Logue with their two sons Dean and Ryan of Tallahassee, Fla.
