LAWRENCEVILLE - Two men were indicted this week in a string of restaurant robberies.
Ryan Francis Brandt and William Jeffrey Kollie are accused of robbing the Applebee's restaurant at 1925 Scenic Highway in Snellville on Aug. 21 and again on Nov. 4. In the second hold-up, the pair also allegedly stole from three others who were in the restaurant before fleeing in a stolen GMC Envoy, according to a grand jury indictment handed down this week. The same of the second Applebee's robbery, Brandt and Kollie allegedly robbed a Fuddrucker's restaurant at 1915 Scenic Highway. The two men also are accused in an Oct. 22 home invasion on Hightower Trail in Snellville, where they reportedly held a married couple at gunpoint while stealing jewelry, computers, guns, cash and identification cards. The husband was shot in the arm during the incident. Brandt and Kollie are charged with eight counts of armed robbery, six counts of kidnapping, two counts of false imprisonment, three counts of burglary, four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and hijacking a motor vehicle.More like this story
