Armed man steals deposit bag
•SNELLVILLE - An armed man stole a deposit bag containing more than $3,000 in cash from an employee at local pharmacy Christmas Eve.
According to a Gwinnett County police report, two employees were leaving the store when the man approached them in the parking lot.
The suspect, described as a slender black man wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, blue jeans and black skull cap, got away with the deposit bag.
The bag contained the cash and more than $600 in checks.
Another employee leaving the store said three black men fled the parking lot in a white Ford Escort at a high rate of speed, headed north on the highway.
No one was injured.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the police.
Driver threatens another with gun
•Norcross - A driver was threatened with a gun the day after Christmas over an incident that occurred on the roadway.
According to a police report, the victim was making a left-hand turn onto Peachtree Industrial Boulevard from Jones Mill Road when a driver in a white Oldsmobile coming from the other direction was attempting to turn right onto Peachtree Industrial.
The victim told police he had a green light and the other driver, the suspect, had a yield sign.
Once the victim got to the parking lot of his office, the suspect pulled up, got out of his car and said, "You almost ran me off the road," and then cursed at him.
At some point the suspect went back to his car, pulled a pistol, walked back toward the victim and said, "Boy, I will shoot you."
The victim told the suspect he was going to call the police.
The suspect returned to his car and pulled out of the parking lot, attempting to run the victim over while the victim was writing down the driver's license plate number.
No one was injured.
Police are looking for the driver, whose Georgia license plate on his white Oldsmobile is AFD2680.
The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds.
Man charged with drug possession
•DULUTH - A call of a person down at Wild Bill's last Saturday led to the arrest of a man with a little more than 12 grams of what was believed to be methamphetamine in his possession.
According to a police report, a man was passed out in his vehicle outside the bar.
An officer asked the man if he had too much to drink, and the man responded that he had more than he could handle.
There were at least two open containers inside the car, and the man allowed the officer to search his vehicle.
The officer discovered in a black CD-style case a white crystal substance, three pills and other items including baggies, scales, a spoon and a glass pipe.
The man was taken into custody and is charged with possession with intent to distribute.
