NORCROSS - Gwinnett County Police may be closer to determining who shot to death a Norcross man more than a week ago.
Cpl. Darren Moloney said it is unknown why Tremayne Emanuel Smalls, 27, was at the Highpoint Village Apartments Dec. 13 - the night he was shot. Smalls told responding officers before he died he did not know who shot him, Moloney wrote in a press release. The victim did not live at the apartment complex where the shooting occurred, and police are unsure of the motive for the shooting. Moloney said witnesses reported seeing the shooter leave the scene in a newer model black Dodge Quad Cab pickup truck with a Georgia tag. The truck has silver running boards, a black grill and the windshield may have been shattered during the shooting. The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with shoulder-length dread locks. Anyone with information is asked to call the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5300.More like this story
