BUFORD
OLIVET, DOROTHY Dorothy "Dot" Pugh Olivet age 77, of Buford, a beautiful and righteous lady completed her earthly journey December 20, 2006 in the presence and comfort of her loved ones. Dot was born on January 14, 1929, one of nine children born to Roe and Bertha Pugh. She married Forrest Olivet in 1947 and is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-laws- Hilda (Leon) Jensen and Sherry (Jerry) McDaniel, sister- Lois Cronic and brother- Troyce Pugh. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest, sisters- Thelma Tutton, Clara Dean Henderson and brothers- Darnell, Thurman, Olten and Wendell. She was known as "Meaw" to her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Dot was a life long and faithful member of the West Buford Baptist Church. She spent many years employed at Sears, Hill Cabinet Shop and owner of Family Hair Express. She was an exceptional seamstress, homemaker, and loved music, dancing and gardening. Dot possessed a rich sense of humor and most of all she loved the family gatherings at "The Home Place". We miss you mother, but we take comfort in knowing that heaven shines a little brighter with your presence. The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation to the Resident Assistants at Brookside Assisted Living for their kind and gentle care while Dot was with them and to the wonderful, loving and genuinely caring people from Crossroads Hospice who made a painful journey much more bearable. A Funeral Service will be at 2 P.M. Friday, December 22 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Arthur Southerland officiating.
