SUWANEE - Gani Lawal led Norcross with 28 points to sweep past North Gwinnett 85-48 Wednesday night.
Tony Neysmith added 13 points for Norcross as its record goes to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in Region 7-AAAAA. Adam Demuyarkor scored 21 points for North and Andrew Anderson added 12. North's record is now 7-3 overall and 4-1 in the region. BOYS Meadowcreek 79, Jacksonville Ribault 53 COLUMBIA, S.C. - Teondre Williams scored 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead Meadowcreek to a 79-53 victory over Jacksonville Ribault in the Chik-fil-A-Classic in Columbia S.C. Chris Allen scored 22 points while Mark Veazey added 12 points and 12 rebounds as Meadowcreek's record improves to 8-1. Providence 52, Holy Innocents' 49 LILBURN - Providence's Jesse Meier scored 16 points to help top Holy Innocents' 52-49 and improve its record to 8-1. Andy Vess scored 12 points while Vurk Stanton added 10 for Providence. GIRLS South 55, Lexington (S.C.) 43 CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. - Alex Winchell's 14 points led four South Gwinnett Comets in double figures as the 2006 Class AAAAA runner-up defeated Lexington (S.C.) 55-43 in the first round of the Kreul Classic in Coral Springs, Fla. Winchell and Mandi Dudish (13 points) each hit four 3-pointers for the Comets, who are now 3-2 on the season. Antionette Howard added 12 points and Emily Clarke finished with 10. South plays St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) today in the quarterfinals. Central 52, Whitfield 40 LAWRENCEVILLE - Jasmine Stovall led Central Gwinnett with 12 points to help defeat Whitfield 52-40 on Wednesday night. Crystal Chaney added nine points and 10 rebounds for Central. The Lady Knights' record is now 4-2. North 52, Norcross 34 SUAWNEE - Nicole Kobler, Katie McDaniel and Ashley Bureau each scored nine points for North Gwinnett to top Norcross 52-34. Brianna Meeks scored 10 points for Norcross.
