Snellville soldier's car found

LAWRENCEVILLE - The car of a missing Snellville soldier was found in Morgan County, but police said they still don't know what happened to the man.

Jason Michael Roark was last seen leaving a Snellville hotel about 7 a.m. Nov. 9. Cpl. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said his car was found in a rest stop in Morgan County off Interstate 20, but a search of the area revealed no new information.

Roark's 2000 black Honda Accord was found some time within the past few days, but Moloney said he did not know the exact date. Police have no new leads and it is still considered a missing person case.

Roark, 26, served two tours of duty in Iraq. He enlisted in the Army after studying at the University of Florida and served with a Special Operations Forces psychological unit.

Roark's mother said previously that her son had trouble readjusting to civilian life after his first tour in Iraq. He had been treated for depression and post-traumatic stress syndrome since returning home.
