NORCROSS - Gwinnett County police continue to search for the person or people responsible for killing a Norcross man who died after a apartment shooting Wednesday.
Police are investigating the death of Tremayne Emanuel Smalls, 27, of Norcross as a homicide.
Smalls died Wednesday at Gwinnett Medical Center due to gunshot wounds he incurred in the parking lot of the Highpoint Village Apartments.
Police said Smalls was not a resident of the 1400 Chase Lane apartments where the shooting occurred. He lived at the nearby Wood Chase Apartments.
Cpl. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said there were multiple 911 calls reporting the incident, but police are not releasing information about possible suspects or witnesses.
He said investigators are working to determine the motive for the shooting and continue to investigate why Smalls was at the apartments.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5300.
