Mrs. Doris S. McElveen, age 81 of Lilburn, GA, affectionately known as Mema in the Parkview community, died December 11, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Malcolm S. “Mac” McElveen and is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Bill Witt of Tellico Plains, TN, Penny and Cecil Flowe of Lilburn; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Swanson McElveen of Tampa, FL, Ed and Laura McElveen of Lilburn; grandchildren, Christy Leigh Turton, Lauren Michelle Turton, Jennifer Turton Palmer and her husband, Brandon Palmer, William Malin Turton, Jr, Courtney Quinn McElveen, Shelby Kaye Flowe, Chelsea Taylor McElveen, Patrick Charles Flowe, Jessica Morgan McElveen. Mrs. McElveen, a member of Mt. Park Baptist Church, was retired from GA Lighting Supply Company after 15 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very active supporter of Parkview High School Football, where she was in attendance at most games. She was a honorary member of the Dorcas Ladies of Center Presbyterian Church, Tellico Plains, TN. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 13 at 11am at Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Richard King officiating. Interment Snellville Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8pm at the funeral home.
