First Horizon Bank announces hires

•ATLANTA - First Horizon Bank, a $37 billion institution that entered the Atlanta banking market last year, announced the addition of two new members to its commercial team - Jonathan James as vice president and relationship manager, real estate finance and Jacquie Sedor of Lawrenceville as vice president and senior portfolio manager.

As vice president and senior portfolio manager, Sedor works with First Horizon's business banking and commercial groups in Georgia. She oversees underwriting, approval and structuring of the group's credit requests, trains and mentors relationship managers, and manages strategic planning and infrastructure development of the credit processes for the group's portfolios.

James is launching First Horizon's commercial real estate lending effort in the Georgia market. He will lead efforts to target commercial real estate owners and developers to provide banking products and services, permanent financing and treasury management.

Norcross Group's director honored

•ATLANTA - Dan Mares, director of forensic development at Norcross Group, has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the High Technology Crime Investigation Association. The award was presented at HTCIA's 2006 International Training Conference and Expo celebrating the organization's 20th anniversary.

Mares joined Norcross Group in mid-2005, bringing to the firm more than 30 years experience as a former federal criminal investigator with an extensive forensics background. He served first with the Department of Treasury then with the internal security division of the IRS.

Norcross Group provides comprehensive computer forensics and electronic discovery services, supporting litigation teams and corporate executives worldwide in internal investigations and legal proceedings.

Hotel Equities names Norcross

resident chief financial officer

•ATLANTA - Atlanta-based Hotel Equities named Alan Bennett of Norcross to the position of chief financial officer.

Bennett's focus at the hotel development and management company is strategic business growth and development. His responsibilities include management of the finance, accounting and information technology systems for the firm's corporate operations and the 16 hotels under management contracts.

Hotel Equities manages 16 properties including the SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel in Buford, the Hampton Inn-Mall of Georgia and the Hampton Inn-Stone Mountain.
