Suspects steal ATM from local drug store

•LAWRENCEVILLE - Police are searching for at least two suspects who allegedly crashed through the front glass of a Walgreens Thursday morning and took off with an ATM machine.

The suspects used what is commonly referred to as a "front loader" to smash the front glass and steal the ATM machine, said Cpl. Darren Moloney, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department.

The Walgreens is located on Buford Drive in Lawrenceville.

The front loader was left at the scene, and police believe the suspects fled the scene in a truck of some type, Moloney said.

A video tape of the incidents has been placed into evidence, and no arrests had been made as of Friday, Moloney said.
