City honors home workers
BUFORD - The city's Board of Commissioners declared November National Homecare Month.
The month honored all the hardworking caregivers who work tirelessly throughout the year providing nursing and therapy in the homes of the elderly and disabled.
Buford city commissioners made plans in Monday's commission meeting to run sewer lines along Peachtree Industrial Boulevard at a cost of about $595,000. Buford officials are developing a fee schedule to recoup that amount. Fees will be established for those current and future property owners who will use the sewer lines.
Commissioners also voted to purchase 0.12 acre off Roberts Street. The city will pay James Terrell about $30,000 for the property that lies near the new Buford Middle School and school cluster.
Gwinnett Gab appears in the Thursday and Sunday editions of the Gwinnett Daily Post.
