Too-large bank deposit taken from slot
•WINDER - A bank deposit too large to fit in the slot was taken Wednesday.
A woman reportedly put her bank deposit in the ATM at Regions Bank on North Broad Street. The deposit did not make it all the way in and got stuck with a corner sticking out.
The woman reported it to a teller, who she said told her the bank would take care of it. Police reports say the bank's video shows a person pulling the money from the ATM about one hour after she attempted the deposit.
Woman finds stranger on her porch
•BETHLEHEM - A woman arrived at her Bethlehem home the afternoon of Nov. 10 to find a strange man sitting on her front porch, sheriff's reports said.
The man allegedly told the woman he was with the water company and had to come inside to fix a leaky faucet. The man ran away when she offered to get her husband. She described the white man as muscular, about 35 years old with short hair wearing a tan polo shirt, khaki pants and brown boots.
Wire, pipes taken from construction sites
•AUBURN - Four rolls of aluminum wire were taken from a business under construction at 1505 University Drive on Nov. 16, police said.
Each roll contained 250 feet of wire, valued at $1,500 total.
Police reports said about $900 worth of damage was done to the front door.
Also, in a separate incident, four pieces of drainage pipe was reported missing from a new home construction site Nov. 15. It was valued at $1,571.14.
