SUWANEE - A women's clothing rack caught fire at a local Wal-Mart Friday night, but the fire was out before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters were dispatched at 8:11 p.m. to the Wal-Mart location on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road at Satellite Boulevard, said Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Thomas Rutledge.
The only injury reported was to a customer, who suffered a minor injury when he attempted to remove burning clothing from the rack to help extinguish the fire.
The store's assistant manager used a portable fire extinguisher to put out the fire, Rutledge said.
The customer was treated by paramedics and released at the scene, Rutledge said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials believe it was set intentionally, Rutledge said.
The store was not evacuated and is open for business.
