Woman carjacked after leaving cafe

•DULUTH - A 24-year-old Suwanee woman was carjacked Tuesday after leaving an Internet cafe in Nukoa Shopping Center at 3430 Steve Reynolds Blvd.

The victim told police she was walking to her car with a friend at 1:30 a.m. when an unknown man walked up, punched her in the face and brandished a silver handgun. The suspect then grabbed her purse and demanded the keys to her 2003 BMW X5, according to a police report.

The suspect backed the BMW into a red minivan and pulled forward, running over a curb and striking a small tree before he was able to exit the parking lot. He is described as a bald black man of average build between 20 and 30 years old wearing diamond stud earrings, jeans and a white T-shirt.

Man stabbed during argument

•DORAVILLE - A 26-year-old Doraville man was stabbed Monday during an argument with a friend at Longwood Vista Apartments.

The victim told police his friend Kentrel became angry, pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the left hip. The knife blade went through the front of the victim's body, glanced off his hip bone and went through his lower back, according to a police report.

The injury was not life-threatening.

Man robs drive through at gunpoint

•DULUTH - An unidentified man driving a lime green Chevrolet pickup truck on Monday robbed the Wendy's restaurant drive-through at 2741 Meadow Church Road.

The suspect pulled up to an order window and asked for a small Coke. He then drove forward and stopped at the pay window, where he reportedly handed an employee some change. When the employee opened the register, the suspect pointed a black revolver at him and demanded the cash drawer.

The suspect is described as a 40- to 45-year-old white man who is bald with a graying brown mustache.
