Brasher - Ludwig

Norm and Kathy Brasher of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Leigh Brasher of Lawrenceville, to Alston Frank Ludwig of Olive Branch, Miss., son of Frank and Cathy Ludwig of Olive Branch, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Rex Brasher of Destin, Fla., and Mary A. Knadle and the late Richard D. Knadle of Hillsboro, Wis. She is a 2003 graduate of Collins Hill High School. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in curriculum and teaching at Auburn University and plans to graduate in December.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Francis and Alma Ludwig and Ada Lee Odum and the late Watson Odum of Olive Branch, Miss. He is a 2002 graduate of Dothan High School in Alabama. He is a 2006 graduate of Auburn University, where he received a bachelor's degree in history. He is attending the University of Mississippi School of Law.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 30 in Braselton.

Casalou - Clayborn

Wayne and Vicki Casalou of Duluth announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelli Laine Casalou of Suwanee, to Cary Lee Clayborn of Loganville, son of Stan and Faye Clayborn of Duluth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of O.H. and Janie Boles of Duluth and the late George and Irene Casalou of Douglasville. She is a 1996 graduate of Duluth High School and a 2000 graduate of Piedmont College, where she received a bachelor's degree in special education. She is employed by North Gwinnett High School as a teacher.

The future groom is the grandson of N.H. and Virginia Russell of Norcross and the late Beautell Campbell of Buford. He is a 1995 graduate of Duluth High School and attended Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus. He is employed by Southern Business Communications in Norcross as an installation technician.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 17 at the Providence Church in Duluth.

Randall - Groff

Mr. and Mrs. William David Randall Jr. of Dacula announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Marie Randall of Dacula, to Jonathan Alan Groff of Annville, Pa., son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Earl Groff of Annville, Pa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Heaton of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Jeanette Randall and the late William David Randall of Savannah. She is a 2002 graduate of Dacula High School. She is a 2006 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where she received a bachelor's degree in mathematics as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. She is attending The Basic School at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, Va.

The future groom is the grandson of April Spannuth and the late Thomas Spannuth of Lebanon, Pa., and the late Frank and Geraldine Groff of Lancaster, Pa. He is a 2006 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he received a bachelor's degree in engineering sciences as a second lieutenant in the Marine Corps. He is attending The Basic School at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Quantico, Va., before reporting to Pensacola, Fla. for flight training.

The wedding is planned for Jan. 20 at Ivy Creek Church in Lawrenceville.

Smith - Auten

Jim and Paula Richards of Minden, Neb. and Kerry and Cindy Smith of Suwanee announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Lynn Smith of Suwanee, to Jeffrey Lee Auten of Buford, son of James and Mary Auten of Buford.

The bride-elect is employed as a dance instructor.

The future groom is employed by PetSmart as a inventory manager.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 14 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.

Tickerhoof - Hall

Paul and Lindy Tickerhoof of Appling announce the engagement of their daughter, Tessa Camille Tickerhoof of Athens, to Derek McLeod Hall of Athens, son of Donald Lavon Hall and the late Sandra Kaye Hall of Colquitt.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jim and RoseAnn Presley of Bishop, Carolyn Hall of Dacula and the late Larry Bagwell of Buford. She received her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Georgia.

The future groom is the grandson of Grace McLeod and the late Otto McLeod of Sale City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Hall of Moultrie. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in sociology.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 9 at the University of Georgia Chapel on North Campus.
