Louise Echols Bell, age 86, passed away August 24, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 26, 2006 in the Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel with Rev. Dick Baker officiating. Burial will be in Peachtree Memorial Park. Mrs. Bell was a native of Forsyth County. She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Duluth for 73 years. She served on various committees, including the building and grounds, also the pulpit committee. She served as co-chairman of the Gwinnett County Heart fund drive, chairman of the Duluth Area Cancer fund drive, she was a special feature writer for the Gwinnett Daily News, she was a substitute teacher, and president of the PTA, she served on the City of Duluth Planning and Zoning board for several years. In 1970, she earned her real estate license and worked as a real estate agent until she retired. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Frank Bell. Survivors include: Son and daughter in law, Woody and Beth Bell of Duluth; Daughter and son in law, LuAnn and Steve Falcaro of Sugar Hill; Sister, Lola Poole of Duluth; Brothers, Linton Echols of Bogart and Luster (Nub) Echols of Winder; Sister in laws, Irene Echols of Duluth and Shirley Echols of Columbus, GA; Grandchildren, Frank W. Bell III and Stephanie of Duluth, Julie and Shannon Hicks of LaGrange, Mary Ann Bell of Duluth; Great Grandchildren, Hallie Hicks and Nicole Bell; Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel, 770-476-2535.
