•LAWRENCEVILLE - An 87-year-old Lawrenceville woman was robbed Tuesday when a man forced his way inside her house on Maranatha Lane.

Around 1:50 p.m. a man in a ski mask and black clothes rang the doorbell and asked to use her phone. The victim was not wearing her glasses and thought the mask was a beard, according to a police report, so she opened the door.

The man then grabbed her and knocked her to the ground, causing the door to slam on one of her ankles. He demanded money and obtained $23 from the woman's purse. Then he told her it wasn't enough.

The robber said, "I know you have more money," and threatened to harm her children and grandchildren. He made the woman lie down on the bedroom floor as he fled.
