Robert (Bob) Green, 74, of Dacula, formerly of Lilburn, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 20, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends at Peachtree Christian Hospice. Bob was born in Chambers County, Alabama. He served honorably in the United States Navy and graduated from Birmingham Southern College. Bob worked for the Texaco Oil Company for 25 years and then the U.S. Postal Service (Duluth Post Office) until his retirement. He was a member of New Hope Congregational Christian Church. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charon and Ellen Floyd Green, Chambers County, Alabama; his sister, Margaret Godfrey, Auburn, Alabama; and is survived by his wife of 44 years, Faye Hargett Green; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Greg Lee, Buford; daughter, Kelli Green, Dacula; granddaughters, Lindsey and Lauren Lee, Buford; brother, Richard Green, Alexander City, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 11:00a.m. at Wages and Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Rev. Jeff Rogers and Rev. Larry Sutton officiating. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Hood was a homemaker and a member of Lilburn First Baptist Church. She was WWII era U.S. Army veteran where she served in the WAC's. Mrs. Hood was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hugh Hood. Survivors include, daughters, Linda Hood of Sarasota, FL and Janie Lynn Hood of Lilburn; son, Ernest Hood of Jasper; brothers, Michael Osborne of Alpharetta and Louie Osborne of Florida; sisters, Louise Dickerson of Cumming, Catherine Mitchem of Lawrenceville, and Jean Mann of Dacula; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Robbie Dean Hutchins Ross, 85, formerly of Tucker, died Thursday, August 17, 2006 at the Parklane Care Center in Wentzville, MO. A graveside service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, August 24, 2006 in the Lilburn First Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Gwinnett County, Mrs. Ross lived 83 years in Gwinnett and Dekalb counties and was a resident of the Parklane Care Center the past two years. She was retired as a bus driver from the Gwinnett County School System after 20 years of service and was a member of the former Williams Road Baptist Church in Norcross. Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by her husband, George Carl Ross, an infant son, Larry Carl Ross, her son-in-law, Billy G. Moon, Sr., and three brothers, Leon Hutchins, John Hutchins, and Curtis Hutchins. Survivors include, daughter & son-in-law, Deanna R.
