McDowell - Hewatt

Julia R. McDowell and the late Jimmy M. McDowell of Dacula announce the engagement of their daughter, Carrie Michelle McDowell of Bethlehem, to Daniel Lee Hewatt of Winder, son of Dorsey and Bobbi Hewatt of Hoschton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Aleane A. Reynolds and the late Noah H. Reynolds of Loganville and the late James and Catherine Rodman of Lake City, Fla. She is a 1992 graduate of Dacula High School. She is employed by Avon Atlanta.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Hugh Dorsey Hewatt and Bobbi Dixon Hewatt of Norcross and Cleo Garmon, Doris Garmon and the late Catherine Marie Garmon, all of Lilburn. He is a 1994 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. He is self-employed as a grading contractor.

The wedding is planned for Friday.

Cason - Gordon

Scott and Laura Cason of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Amanda Cason of Covington, to Erik Joshua Gordon of Conyers, son of B. David Gordon and Cathy Gordon of Winder.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bobby Young of Vidalia, Mary Goss of Panama City, Fla. and Helen Barnett of Covington. She is a graduate of Newton County High School and a graduate of Georgia Career Institute. She is employed by Utopia Day Spa and Salon in Covington as a hair stylist.

The future groom is the grandson of Grady and Sarah Eskew of Jefferson and Buddy and Barbara Gordon of Lithia Springs. He is a graduate of Heritage High School. He is employed by United Parcel Service.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 6 at Magnolia Hall in Social Circle.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Neal and Venia Stanley and the late Ralph and Ruby Pearl Rogers. She is a graduate of Valdosta State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in art. She is employed by Classic Art and Frame Co., a custom framing store in Valdosta.

The future groom is the grandson of June Chick and the late Jimmy Lee of Midland, Texas and Ed and Marge Poulter of Quitman, Texas. He is a graduate of Valdosta State University, where he received his bachelor's degree in speech communications. He is employed by Hear Central of Valdosta as an assistive listening devices sales person.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 9 at the First United Methodist Church in Valdosta.

Brown - Kennedy

Jerry Brown and Toni Lyons of Lawrenceville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ana Marie Brown of Bethlehem, to Timothy Todd Kennedy of Bethlehem.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Frank and Rethal Brown of Atlanta and the late Edward and Mary Jones of Decatur. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree from Western Governers University. She is employed by Mill Creek Academy in Buford as a teacher.

The future groom is the grandson of Genne and Carol Kennedy of Lawrenceville and Emily Johnson and the late Andrew Rawlins of Loganville. He is employed by Trailers & Hitches in Loganville as a sales manager.
