G. Ed Caldwell, age 83, of Lawrenceville, passed away on August 15, 2006 at Embracing Hospice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett and Ora Caldwell of Cartersville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Owen and Martha Jo Caldwell of Sandy Springs and Don and Helen Caldwell of Marietta. After graduating from Cartersville High, he joined the US Navy in 1942. He saw action in the European invasions during World War II. Following discharge from military service, he attended Georgia Tech before beginning a long career in auto sales management with Taber Pontiac and McNamara Pontiac. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Fay; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Wayne Bryant and Laurie and Mike Allison; grandchildren, Amy and Paul Cowan, Kate Bryant, Mandy Allison and Michael Allison. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 3 PM at Snellville United Methodist Church. Larry Tewell, age 73 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on August 18, 2006. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Tewell and son, Jeffery Tewell. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Tewell.
